Leading Your Agency Through An Officer Involved Shooting

Guest Speaker is Lance LoRusso who is graduate of Georgia State University College of Law. He earned his Master's Degree from Kennesaw State University and his undergrad from Emory University. LoRusso focuses his practice on POST complaints, critical incident response, personal injury and wrongful death cases on behalf of injured parties and their families. Mr. LoRusso's blog:

bluelinelinelawyer.com is an active legal resource for cops. In 2012 he released the book, titled "When Cops Kill", to raise money for law enforcement charities and looks forward to educating law enforcement about officer involved shootings.

Supervisors Workshop

Classification : Specialized Training
Where : Hampton Roads Criminal Justice Training Academy

Description :
Time: 0700-1545 Monday-Thursday. Friday is from 0700-1100.

This course is designed for the new supervisor or as a refresher for experienced supervisors. Training topics include all critical areas of need for supervisors. The following training topics will be covered during this course: Introduction to Supervision, Stress Awareness for Supervisors, Interpersonal Communications for Supervisors, The Colors of Supervision, Dealing Effectively with Employees, Generations and the Workplace, Civil Liability for Supervisors and Employee Discipline.This will be an interactive course which will include lectures and role play.

In-Service: Law Enforcement, Jailor/Custodial and Court Security/Civil Process.
Credit Hours: 30 Career Development, 2 Legal, 2 Cultural Diversity.

Trauma Informed Response To Child Victims
