Hampton Roads Criminal Justice Training Academy

Course Registration Overview

Registration Information/ Calendar 2017

The Academy's primary responsibility is to service its member agencies. Therefore, non-member agencies wishing to make registrations for a school may be placed on a waiting list and enrolled on a space available, first come first served basis after members.

Students may be registered by mail or email to tameka.guild@hampton.gov, or faxed (757) 595-1801 with the Academy Registrar, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. At the time of registration student name, last four social security number, course title and date must be provided. Students will not be registered without this information. All class registrations close five working days prior to the start of the class. If your student cannot attend scheduled training, please notify us as soon as possible. Any open slots available after the closing date for a class will be given to any agency on the waiting list for the class. By following this registration process we can reduce empty seats in the classroom and better serve all our members needs.

There will be a student minimum of 15 for each program. If there are not 15 students registered for a program a week before the program is to start, the program may be cancelled.

There will be a maximum number of students for each program. Maximums will vary depending on the program. Students registered after the maximum number has been reached will be put on a waiting list.

All classes are conducted from 7:00AM - 3:45PM daily unless otherwise noted.

The Academy's dress code applies to students attending all classes. Those attending Academy classes are required to park in the student parking area.
